Martha J. Bloomquist

Martha J. Bloomquist, 93, of Clinton passed peacefully Friday morning September 25, 2026 in the comfort of her daughter’s home with family at her side.

Born October 1, 1932 in Rimersburg, PA., she was the last surviving child born to the late William & Margaret (Highwiller) Ditty. A homemaker, Martha had also worked as a telephone operator in prior years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Dana Bloomquist in 1980; her son Dana Bloomquist Jr., in 1973; and a daughter Patti Carson in 1998. Also 2 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Kirk Arnold, a grandson, Jimmy & Ashley Carson, and 3 great grandchildren, Luke, Quinn, & Ben Carson.

As per Martha’s wishes, there will be no service, and cremation will take place with private interment to follow in the Clinton U.P. Church Cemetery. Donations in her name can be made to one’s favorite charity. The Moody Funeral Home, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA 15026 was trusted with the arrangements.
