Patricia (Pattie) Lorraine Campbell

PATRICIA (PATTIE) LORRAINE CAMPBELL, 67, of Clinton, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully, in her own home on Monday, December 31, 2018, after a valiant nine and a half year battle with cancer.

She was born on October 31, 1951, in Alameda, California. She is the daughter of Phillip Nelson Read Sr., of Hookstown, and the late Mae Read.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Read Jr. and Keith Read.

Pattie is survived by her father, her loving husband, Glenn Campbell Jr.; her daughter, Tracy (Campbell) Seik, Hookstown; her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Campbell III and Catherine Whitney-Campbell, Greensburg; her siblings and their spouses, Karen (Read) and George Kelley, Moon Township, and Charles and Rhonda Read, West Virginia; her beautiful grandchildren, Cheyenne, Austin, Trenton, Emily, and Riley, and many nieces and nephews.

Perhaps Pattie’s greatest legacy is her family. She led by example that family is always welcome, and all are family. Her fiery nature allowed her loved ones to feel protected, nurtured, and wanted. She often played the supporting role so someone else could excel. Pattie exemplified what it is to be a mother.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton. Funeral services will directly follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to UPMC’s Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Anna Mae (Wherry) Miller

ANNA MAE (WHERRY) MILLER, 93, passed away on December 24, 2018.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Miller, who passed away in 1985.

Anna Mae is survived by her children, Joseph (June) Miller of Clinton, PA, and Sharon (Mark) Thrush of Boynton Beach, FL. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents Joseph H. and Sylvia (Kelly) Wherry and her siblings: Grace Wherry, Walter Wherry, William Wherry, Howard “Shorty” (late Barb) Wherry, Joseph “Buck” (late Eva) Wherry, Ethel (late James) Gardner, Goldie (late George) Roth, David Wherry and James John Wherry.

Anna Mae and her husband, Joe, leased and operated the Amoco Gas Station on Route 30, Clinton, PA for many years until their retirement.

She was a former volunteer aide at Wilson Elementary for many years and a faithful member of St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church, Imperial.

Also left behind to cherish her memory are 3 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren: Lora (Brian) Carcz and children Jayson, Brandon, Jackson, and Isabella; Joey Miller and children Nyah, Brandon, Skyler, Faith, JJ, Dean, and Ransom; Rachel Ayers and children Mikey and Emma.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where her services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Laura Strauss of Clinton UP Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Pamela Evohn (Worrell) King

PAMELA EVOHN (WORRELL) KING, 82, resident of Clinton, PA. passed away at Sharon Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

Born January 4, 1936, in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Argol and Birtrice (Cain) Worrell.

Pam was a graduate of West Allegheny High School and Indiana State College and was a Sigma Kappa. She was a member of the Hebron Presbyterian Church. Pam was a reservation supervisor for Northwest Airlines and also worked in reservations for Trans World Airlines. She taught second grade at Margaret Ross Elementary and Independence Elementary School in the Hopewell School District for 29 years,  until her retirement in 1997.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Jeffrey and Debra Jean King of Mercer, PA.; her grandson, Matthew Emir King of Fairfax, Va.; and three sisters, Nila McCullough (Amevor) of Ohio, Dixie Schmella of Clinton, and Wendy Worrell of Allegheny Valley School, Coraopolis; and her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth King on August 5, 2012.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 12 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. until the time of her service at 1 p.m. The Reverend Lorrie Ghering-Burick of the Hebron Presbyterian Church will officiate. Pam will be laid to rest in the Hopewell Hebron Cemetery.

James William Morrow, Jr.

JAMES WILLIAM MORROW, JR., age 94, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.) died peacefully on Monday afternoon, December 3, 2018 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Born October 27, 1924, in Coraopolis, the son of the late James W. Sr. and Olive (Dailey) Morrow. He attended the Clinton Wesleyan Church.

Early in his life he worked in the coal mines of West Virginia and then for many years at Robert L. Lutz Garbage Company in the North Hills. After retiring, he worked at the J.M.S. Machine Company in Burgettstown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona (Harvey) Morrow, on May 14, 2001, and his second wife, Mary P. (Work) Morrow on March 7, 2018; two sons, James Morrow and William A. Morrow; a brother, Don Morrow; and two sisters, Edith Hughes and Nancy Hughes.

Surviving are his children and their spouses, Robert and Debi Morrow of Washington, Randy Morrow of Clinton, Kathy and her late husband, Jack Murin of Aliquippa, Arlene and John Luich of Cabot, Nancy and Ed Carr-Foster of Clinton, and Kandi Connors of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Karen Morrow of Burgettstown; a stepson, Alvin E. Work Jr. and Mary Jean Clarke of South Carolina; a step-daughter, Janet Jean and Robert Cubbage of Texas; a brother, Frank Morrow of Natrona Heights; and sisters, Adamae Murin of Clinton and Mary Lou Desmond of Georgia. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. where a service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Ted Chapman of the Clinton Wesleyan Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hopewell Hebron Cemetery,

Carol Ann Starr

CAROL ANN STARR, 68, of Butler, PA. died in her home on Sunday morning, November 25, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late William E. and Lois Virginia (Cain) Starr; beloved mother of Eric J. Cupp; sister of James, William, and Robert Starr and the late Helen Starr.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her memorial service Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11 a.m., in the Clinton Wesleyan Church.

Wilson D. McConnell Jr.

WILSON D. McCONNELL JR., 89, of Clinton, died Saturday morning, November 17, 2018, at Marian Manor, Greentree.

Born July 23, 1929, in Clinton, he was a son of the late Wilson D. Sr, and Beulah (Rhodabarger) McConnell.

Wilson had worked as a warehouse manager for Texaco, Coraopolis for 34 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Clinton United Presbyterian Church and the Masonic F&AM Lodge #669, Oakdale.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Lou (Naman) McConnell on February 18, 2017; two sons, Robert D. McConnell and Wilson D. McConnell III; a brother and sister-in-law, John R. and Marie A. McConnell; a sister and brother-in-law, Caretia (Pat) and Harry Lewis; and two brothers-in-law, Chester (Ted) Hoffman and Ron Doumont.

Surviving are his children and their spouses, James McConnell, Jack McConnell, Joy and Ray Messner, Darla and Barry (Moats) Messner, and Lisa and Lee McDowell; a special daughter-in-law Judy McConnell; a sister, Bonnie Doumont; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Rout 30, Clinton, Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Everyone is asked to meet at the Clinton United Presbyterian Church on Tuesday where his services will be held at 10 a.m.; his pastor, the Rev. Laura Strauss officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Clinton UP Church Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Clinton United Presbyterian Church.

Edith Luella (Morrow) Hughes

EDITH LUELLA HUGHES, age 95, or Clinton (Hanover Township) passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in the West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Moon Twp.

Born November 29, 1922 in Coraopolis, she was the daughter of James and Olive (Dailey) Morrow.

A homemaker, she was a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church of Aliquippa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clelly Hughes; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Jim Carson; a brother, Donny Morrow and a sister, Nancy Hughes.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Ken Bolind; brothers, James and Frank Morrow; sisters, Adamae Murin and Mary Lou Desmond; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with her Pastor, Randall Clow of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hopewell Hebron Cemetery.

Joseph L. Anderson

JOSEPH L. ANDERSON, age 89, of Oakdale died on October 18, 2018. He was the son of the late Joseph L. and Lena (Hirshinger) Anderson.

Joe had worked as an operating engineer with Local #66.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth T. Anderson on November 5, 2007, and a stepdaughter, Donna Simeone.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Parish. He was the beloved stepfather of Dave Simeone, Darlene Lemchak, Michelle (Kim) Stolfer, and Francine Anderson; brother of Harry Anderson, Leona Little, Virginia McCoy, Virginia McGaffey, and Jean Rhodes; beloved grandfather of Dylan Lutz, Michael (Emily) Pozzi, Michael (Francee) Lemchak, David Lemchak, Sandra (Kevin) Molenda, and Michelle (John) Romanchak; also great-grandfather of seven, Paige and Gabriella Pozzi, Jessica and Matthew Molenda, Lauren and Ava Romanchak, and David Lemchak.

Friends will be received in the Moody Funeral Home, Rt. 30, Clinton, Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:15 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church, Rt. 30, Imperial. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Anna E. Adams

Anna E. Adams, 92, passed away Tuesday morning, October 16, 2018.

All arrangements will be private.

Thomas G. Wojtowicz Sr.

THOMAS G. WOJTOWICZ SR., 66 of Burgettstown (Hanover Twp.) died unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 2018, at his Burgettstown residence.

Born November 17, 1951, in Beaver Falls, he was a son of the late Joseph and Irene C. (Christian) Wojtowicz. Tom was Catholic by faith, and a retired horse jockey, having raced at Mountaineer Racetrack.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George F. Wojtowicz.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia E. (Pruden) Wojtowicz; father of Thomas G. Jr., and Davina Wojtowicz, Burgettstown; and brother of Joseph B. Wojtowicz Jr., Burgettstown.

Friends will be received for a memorial visitation Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton.
