Barbara A. Souffrant

Barbara A. Souffrant, 85, of Clinton passed Sunday evening October 11, 2026 at Friendship Village, Pittsburgh, with her daughter at her side. Born February 4, 1941 in Imperial, she was a daughter of the late Richard J. & Florence M. (Delaney) Sauers. A homemaker and Catholic by faith, Barbara’s greatest joy was family, especially time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by the love of her life, Kenneth B. Souffrant on June 27, 2010 whom she missed terribly. Also preceding her was a brother & sister-in-law, Richard & Barb Sauers, a brother-in-law Richard Cancilla, and sister-in-law Jesse Sauers.
She is the beloved mother of Brenda Kirby, Carla & Rich Martin, Chuck & Michell Daniels, Michele Hook & Eric Vuiller, and Tricia O-Neil & Jason McConnell. Sister of Ronald Sauers, Janice Cancilla, and Beverly & Fred Richardson. Cherished grandmother of 10: Gary (Tracey), Ryan (Amber), Samantha, Nicholas, Brittany (Sergio), Barron, Taylor (Spencer), Jordan, Macei, and Kenny. Great-grandmother of 11: Athena, Dahlia, Thor, Brayden, Kaleb, Parker, Wyatt, Rylee, Crue, Rylee, and Brynlee.
A loving homemaker, she found her greatest joy in her family. Holidays, Sunday dinners, and camping trips were among her favorite ways to spend time with the people she loved most. She was generous with her heart, always making sure her family knew how much they meant to her.
She worked at Kuhn’s for many years, but some of her most treasured roles were being a mother, a Mamaw, and a great-Mamaw. She was very active in her grandchildren’s lives and absolutely adored her great-grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she was happiest when everyone was together.
She was also known for finding just about any excuse to go out for breakfast or lunch, and her weekly hair appointments were practically sacred. Those appointments were a part of her routine, and everyone knew not to mess with her hair!! She especially loved her bacon and eggs when Eric was the one cooking them.
If you knew her, you knew that terms like “jagoff”, “goofball”, and “dumbass” were often her way of showing affection. She had her own special way of letting you know she loved you, and you could always count on her to keep things interesting. She was not an avid pet lover, but Sparky and Onyx were exceptions to her rule!!
Now she will have the chance to be reunited with the love of her life, “Her Kenny”, whom she has missed dearly. We can only imagine that reunion, and we’d like to think she’s sitting right beside him, enjoying an Iron City Beer, surround by the love she always cherished.
She leaves behind a family who will miss her more than words can say, countless memories that will be shared for generations, and a legacy of love, laughter, family traditions, and a little bit of sass.
Forever our Mamaw. Forever loved. Never forgotten.
Friends will be received in the Moody Funeral Home, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA 15026 on Wednesday, October 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where a blessing will be held Thursday, October 15th at 11 am, Fr.
