Paul J. Messner

PAUL J. MESSNER, age 70, of Clinton, died suddenly on December 19, 2017.

The youngest of 14 children, he was the beloved husband of Donna L. (McCullough) Messner; beloved father of Devin Messner (Megan Kopko) of Clinton, Bryan Messner and (MaryBeth DeYenno) of Chester Springs, PA. He was the beoved grandfather of Matthew, Allison, Dylan, and Jamie Messner.

Friends will be received in the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton, on Friday, December 22, 2017 from noon until the service at 2 p.m.

Barbara Louise Eberhardt

BARBARA LOUISE EBERHARDT, 74, of Clinton, died Sunday morning at her home in Clinton,

She was the daughter of the late Alta Louise (Hull) and Harold D. Work; sister of David and Janet Work, the late Harold Dwight Work, the late Bessie Ann and Melvin Kaminski, and Mary Kay and Blair Glass.

A memorial service will take place at a future date in the Clinton Wesleyan Church. Please contact the family for further details.

Mike Gremani, Jr.

MIKE GREMANI, JR., 84, of Clinton, died Wednesday evening, October 25, 2017, in the comfort of his home.

Born November 15, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Mike Gremani, Sr., and Mary (Lipchack) Gremani. Mike had worked as a truck driver in the food service industry.

Beloved husband of Donna L. (Campbell) Gremani, he was the dear father of Vincent Gremani, and Deborah and her husband David Sciranka; stepfather of William J. (Andrea) Charles Jr., Thomas E. (Lynn) Charles, John H. (Kelly) Charles and Valerie L. (Chuck) Fahrny; grandfather of Dr. Michelle Marie (Andrew) Stotz, Jessica Magnone, Mark Charles, Joshua Charles, Cody Charles, Noah Charles, Zachary Charles and Jaidan Fahrny; and great-grandfather of Jack Stotz, Clayton Magnone, Levi Magnone and Zane Charles.

Cremation has taken place.

James John Wherry

JAMES JOHN WHERRY, 85, of Imperial (Findlay Township), died Tuesday morning, September 26, 2017 in Ohio Valley Hospital, McKees Rocks.

Born October 8, 1931, in Clinton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Kelly) Wherry. John was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired groomer and horse trainer for local sulky racehorse owners.

Surviving are his sister, Anna Mae Miller of Clinton and her late husband, Joseph, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents and brother-in-law, he was preceded in death by sisters, Grace Wherry, Ethel and the late James Gardner, Goldie and the late George Ross, and brothers, Walter Wherry, William Wherry, Howard “Shorty” and the late Barb Wherry, Joseph “Buck” and the late Eva Wherry, and David Wherry.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, PO Box 157, Clinton, PA where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Laura Strauss, of the Clinton Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Ruth D. McComas

Ruth D. McComas, 63, a lifelong resident of Clinton, died Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Born June 13, 1954, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Walter Jr. and Martha A. (Spangler) Reitz. A homemaker, Ruth attended the Clinton Wesleyan Church. She was also an avid crocheter. Continue reading

Rose Doerr

ROSE DOERR, 90, of Clinton, died Thursday evening, September 7, 2017, in the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born May 27, 1927, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen (Bauer) Skavarj. A homemaker, she was a longtime and very active member of the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, John C. Steele and John Doerr; a son, Roy Steele; two brothers, John and Richard Skvarj, and two sisters, Mary Hissom and Helen Carr.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, John C. and Melissa Steele, Imperial, and RoseMary and George Benton, Hopewell Twp.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl, Imperial; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jim Rakoczy, Clinton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Monday, September 11, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton, where services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 9:30 am. Father Joe Carr will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

 

Jacqueline Lee Anderson

JACQUILINE LEE ANDERSON, 49, of Imperial, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday morning, July 30, 2017.

Born June 28, 1968, in Sewickley, she was the beloved daughter of Catherine “Cookie” (Carr) Peck, Imperial, and the late Bernard Peck.

She was the beloved mother of Brittany and her husband, Jon Welsh, Columbiana, Ohio; Megan Anderson and Bernard Anderson, both of Imperial; and a sister, Terri Peck, Imperial.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Peck.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA 15026 on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. with her cousin, Father Joseph Carr officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery, Imperial.

 

Steven Henry Koerbel

STEVEN HENRY KOERBEL, age 56, of Clinton, died Thursday, July 27, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was the beloved son of Carole Koerbel and the late Henry J. Koerbel, Jr.; father of Jacob Koerbel, Logan and her husband, Daniel McBride, Ryan Koerbel, and Bradley Koerbel; brother of Douglas Koerbel and Michelle D. Koerbel and her husband, Darren Tuggle and their son, Quentin; his closest loving friend, Cathy Cardello.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA. 15026 Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Hebron Presbyterian Church, Route 30 Clinton, Wednesday, August 9th at 6 p.m. with the Rev. John Free officiating.

Patricia McGowan

PATRICIA McGowan, 59, of Baden, passed Wednesday evening, July 26, 2017, surrounded by family at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born March 5, 1958, in Pittsburgh, she was the beloved daughter of Belia (Sixtos) Martinez of Clinton and the late Peter Martinez. Patricia was a seamstress by trade, being the owner and operator of Pat McGowan’s Bridal Alterations of Baden. She had also worked at the Giant Eagle in Leetsdale in their bakery department.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Martinez.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her children, Amanda (Josh) Beneviat, Ga.; Eric (Jennifer) McGowan, Ga.; Christopher (Jennifer Pringle) Gahagan, Ambridge; Jeffrey (Jenna) McGowan, Hopewell Twp.; and Maria (Mark Archer) Potts, Latrobe; her brothers, Michael Martinez, Canonsburg; Albert Martinez, III.; and Raymond Martinez, Fla.; and a sister, Linda (Angelo Crivelli) Hyde, Clinton. Beloved grandmother of 11, she is also survived by her former husbands and friends, William Gahagan of Lancaster and Thomas McGowan of Hopewell Twp., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, 1227 Route 30, Clinton. Services are private. Cremation will follow.  Entombment will be in Hopewell Hebron Cemetery Columbarium.

Mary G. Meanor

MARY G. MEANOR, 92, of Imperial passed away Sunday evening, July 16, 2017 at Country Meadows, Bridgeville, PA.

Born January 9, 1925, in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Steiner) Lamb. A homemaker she was one of the original people who started the Western Allegheny Community Book Club and was also a member of the Raccoon Women’s Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Meanor, Jr., on July 12, 2002. At the time, the couple were married for 52 years.

Surviving are her children, S. Scott Meanor and Nancy Howell. She was the grandmother of Sarah and her husband Shawn Connelly, and Michele and her husband B. J. Vascik.

Friends will be received Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. in the Moody Funeral Home, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, Pa.. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Western Allegheny Community Library.

The family would like to thank the staff at Country Meadows, Bridgeville, for all the care and concern extended to them and their mother.
