Ruth D. McComas

Ruth D. McComas, 63, a lifelong resident of Clinton, died Wednesday afternoon, September 13, 2017, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Born June 13, 1954, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Walter Jr. and Martha A. (Spangler) Reitz. A homemaker, Ruth attended the Clinton Wesleyan Church. She was also an avid crocheter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and David William Reitz.

Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Scott E. McComas Jr.; a daughter, Carissa McComas, Clinton; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Donna Retiz, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Pam Reitz, Salem, Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Roger Reynolds, Imperial, and Mary and Robert Garis Jr., Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton. Everyone is asked to meet at the Clinton Wesleyan Church on Monday, September 18, 2017, where her services will be held at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ted Chapman will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
