Andrew P. Trecki, Sr.

ANDREW P. TRECKI, Sr., age 68, of Imperial, passed away on August 19, 2013.

He was the husband of the late Martha L. (Kormick) Trecki; father of Christopher (Jody) Trecki, Andrew P. Trecki, Jr., and Frank Trecki; brother of Faith (Leon) Hughes; grandfather of Darren, Kyleigh and Chelsea Trecki.

Friends received at MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, Thursday 1 p.m. until time of Blessing at 3 p.m..  Interment will be private.

Albert A. Jodikinos

ALBERT A. JODIKINOS, 45, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18, 2013.

Born in Sewickley on October 11, 1967, a son of the late Albert J. and Donna (Persin) Jodikinos, he was a self-employed farmer, being the owner and operator of Jodikinos Farm.

He enjoyed driving and working on his classic cars.  An avid outdoors-man, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Jami (Christoff) Jodikinos.  The couple would have celebrated 24 years of marriage on October 28, 2013.  Also surviving are his children, A.J., Josh and Maria Jodikinos, all of Clinton.  His brothers and their wives also survive, Ed and Beth Jodikinos, D.J. and Kelly Jodikinos, all of Clinton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Sandi Christoff of Bridgeville, and nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to call in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, Wednesday only from 4 to 8 p.m., where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.

Private interment will be in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.

Edith Marie Carson

Edith Marie Carson, 74, of Imperial, died Tuesday morning, August 13, 2013, in the Kindred Hospital, Oakdale.

Born June 8, 1939, in Clinton, she was the beloved daughter of Edith L. Morrow Hughes of Clinton and the late Clelly Hughes.  A homemaker, Marie was an exceptional mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.  She just loved being with her family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Carson Sr., on January 29, 2009, and her beloved daughter, Janet M. Carson, on April 10, 1988.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, James F. Carson Jr. of Imperial and John R. and Lisa Carson of Weirton, WV.  She was the beloved sister of Ruth Ann and her husband Kenny Bolind of Clinton.  Also surviving are four grandchildren: James F. Carson III, Roxanna Carson, Vicki Carson, and Stacey Marie Grimm, and four great-grandchildren: Lucy Carson, Alli McKinley, Lucas J. Carson, and Quinn Ann Carson.

Friends are welcome to call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m..  The Rev. Ted Chapman, of the Clinton Wesleyan Church will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Edward “Mick” D. Hughes

EDWARD “MICK” D. HUGHES, SR., 80, of Clinton, Hanover Township, died Friday afternoon, July 26, 2013 in Heritage Valley Sewickley.

Born July 8, 1933, in Clinton, PA, a son of the late Fieldy and Florence Gray Hughes, Mr. Hughes was a retired heavy equipment operator for the coal mines.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha F. (Swango) Hughes; and two brothers, Bob and Carl Hughes.

He is survived by three sons, Edward Detmer “Mick” Hughes Jr. and his wife Cindy, Imperial; David Wayne Hughes and his wife, Michelle, Hookstown; Ricky Lee Hughes, Clinton; brother of Chester Hughes and his wife, Evelyn of Clinton and Marjorie Buxton Hughes of Clinton and grandfather of Eddie, Ryan, Amy, and Nicholas Hughes.

Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 pm and Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton, where a service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am with Rev. Cinda Isler of the Hebron Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetary.

David H. Craig

DAVID H. CRAIG, 75, of Imperial, on July 3, 2013.

Father of Ronald Craig and Christine Fetchin; brother of Tom (Dot) Craig of Imperial, Kenneth (Kay) Craig of Clinton, Peggy (Bill) Wilson Clinton, Carol (Tony) Keller of KY, Barbara (Carl) Noyes of MO, and the late Francis, William, and Donald Craig; also five grandchildren, David and Rachel Craig, Zachery, Sara Jo, and Jake Fetchin. A veteran of the US Army. He worked at the Aliquippa and Southern Railroad as a conductor.

Friends received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 30 Clinton, Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Graveside Services will be held Monday 11 a.m. in the Clinton U.P. Church Cemetery.

Elizabeth Pachuta

ELIZABETH PACHUTA, 94, formerly of Imperial, PA., passed away in Bradenton, FL. on June 22, 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Pachuta) Walker, and son, Joseph Pachuta.

Charles P. Strouss

CHARLES P. STROUSS, 86 of Imperial (Findlay Township), died Thursday morning, June 6, 2013, at the Kane Regional Center, Scott Township.

Born September 11, 1926, in Imperial, he was the last surviving child born to the late Charles P. and Bertha (Combs) Strouss. Mr. Strouss had worked as a farmer in the agricultural industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl “Rusty” Strouss, and Nick Strouss and a sister, Esther Marnhout.

Surviving is  son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Virginia Strouss, Chesapeake, VA and a sister-in-law, Mary Strouss, Imperial.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, on Sunday from 2 to 4, and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James Viola, Chaplain of the Kane Regional Center, officiating.

He will be laid to rest in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Leo (Silver Dollar) Nadik, Sr.

LEO (SILVER DOLLAR) NADIK, SR., 92, of Clinton, on May 27, 2013.

Beloved husband of Gladys (Engle); beloved father of Leo (Linda) Nadik, James (Sherry) Nadik, Elaine (William) Nilon, Jr., Barbara (John Thomas) Kowcheck, Jean (Herb) Roessler and Larry (Diane) Nadik, and the late Michael Nadik; also preceded in death was his grandson, William Nilon, III; a brother, Nick Nadik; and a brother-in-law, Tony Java. In addition to his children, he is survived by sister, Helen Java and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Nadik; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 30, Clinton, Thursday 6-8 p.m., Friday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Proceed to the Hebron Presbyterian Church at 10:15 a.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment with full military honors in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Joseph M. Mihalic

JOSEPH M. MIHALIC, 62, of Clinton, died Saturday morning, May 25, 2013 in the comfort of his home with family at his side.

Beloved husband of 41 years to Cindy L. (Herrmann) Mihalic; beloved father of Jon (Sarah) Mihalic and Chris (Jackie Magee) Mihalic, all of Clinton; also surviving is one grandson, Colton Joseph Mihalic.

Friends received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 30, Clinton, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 11 a.m. at the Sharon Presbyterian Church, 522 Carnot Rd., Moon Twp., 15108. EVERYONE TO MEET AT CHURCH.

Memorials in Joe’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

David N. Taylor

DAVID N. TAYLOR, 83,  of Coaroplois, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Country Meadows Bridgeville.

Born August 10, 1929 in Methil Fifeshire, Scotland. He was the son of the late David and Olive (Gill) Taylor. He was a retired interior designer having worked for the JC Penney Company.

As per his wishes there will be no viewing or services. Cremation will take place with burial to follow in the in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 30 Clinton.
