Robert W. Hamilton

ROBERT W. HAMILTON, age 63, passed away on May 24, 2014 in Greece, New York.

He was the brother of Charles (Sue Ellen) Hamilton of Grove City, PA; Randolph (Barbara) Hamilton of Henrietta, NY; Cheryl Hamilton of Bloomington, MN; and the late Gary D. Hamilton.

A graveside service will be held on July 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clinton UP Cemetery.

Joseph P. Multunas

JOSEPH P. MULTUNAS, age 79, of Oakdale (North Fayette Twp.) passed away on June 15, 2014.

He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Esther K. (Melchiorre); dear father of Kimberly (Jeff) Buffington and the late Joseph Richard Multunas; brother of the late Rose Lucarini; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Arrangement by MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Father Ben Vaghetto officiating.

Vera Mary Clingenpeel

VERA MARY CLINGENPEEL, 94, of East Liverpool, Ohio, died Friday morning, May 23, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born October 19, 1919, in Charleton Heights, Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Vejchodska) Kadlcik.

A homemaker, Mrs. Clingenpeel was a member of the Church of the Redeemed of Center Twp.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Clingenpeel, on October 17, 1987.

Surviving are her children: Herman l. Jr. and his wife Wilberta Clingenpeel, and William C. Clingenpeel and his late wife Kathy, all of Aliquippa; Jean Vera and her husband Charles W. Crabtree of Virginia, and Faye Anne and her late husband Walter Reed Jr. of East Liverpool, Ohio. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Redeemed, Center Twp., with her pastor, Dave Grove, officiating.

Cremation services were provided by MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30 Clinton, PA.

Calogero Vicari

CALOGERO VICARI, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

He was born in St. Guisippe Jeto Palermo, Italy.  His cremains will be buried in New York.

Donna J. Shaytar

DONNA J. SHAYTAR, age 67, of Imperial (Findlay Twp.), passed away Thursday morning, May 1, 2014.

Beloved wife of the late James Shaytar; dearest mother of James W. and his wife, Susan Shaytar of Florida, and Linda A. and her husband, Kurt Wolfe of Raccoon Twp.; sister of William Donly Ison, Beth Holly Ison, Harold Frank Ison, Raleigh Boots Ison, Eric Lee Ison, and the late Shawn Aaron Ison; cherished grandmother of James Louis and Thomas J. Shaytar, Kurtis J. and Kallen M. Wolfe.

Friends will be received in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m.

Donna will be laid to reset beside her husband in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, can be  made to Mother Teresa Hospice, 3950 Brodhead Rd., Monaca, PA 15061.

George W. “Puppy” Miller, Jr.

GEORGE W. “Puppy” Miller, Jr., 80, of Moon Twp., passed away on Saturday, April, 19, 2014.

He was the beloved husband to Phyllis Miller for 61 years.

He served in the National Guard and the US Army Reserves.  He was a retired truck driver with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Also surviving are five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, George W. Miller III; and a daughter, Sharon Gertz.

Memorials may be made to the Sewickey Stroke Group at St. Stephens Church, Sewickley.

Cremation will take place with MOODY FUNERAL HOME handling the arrangements.

Helen L. Skvarj

HELEN L. SKVARJ, 78, of Crescent Twp., PA. died Sunday morning, April 13, 2014 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, PA.

Born January 5, 1936, in Buckhannon, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hiner and Myrtle (Finley) Nesbitt.

A homemaker, Mrs. Skvarj was also employed as a housekeeper for the Crescent Twp. municipal building for 39 years.  She will be remembered by her family for her loving and caring ways.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Skvarj; a daughter, Brenda Lee Knox; a brother, Francis “Chuck” Nesbitt, and an infant brother and sister, Kenneth and Wilma Nesbitt.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Scott Wolff of Crescent, and Roxann and Mike Stetzer of Moon Twp.; two sons-in-law, Larry Knox of Ambridge and Howard Krieger of Florida; a devoted cousin, Marion Kephart of Baden, and a loving and caring niece, Linda Tinney of WV.  Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Family and friends are welcome to meet at the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, where services will be held at 1 p.m.

Robert J. Buffington

ROBERT J. BUFFINGTON, 79, of Imperial (Findlay Twp) died Thursday afternoon, April 3,2014.

Born April 14, 1934 in Coraopolis, a son of the late Ervin R. and Thelma M. (Metcalf) Buffington, he had worked as an operating engineer with Local No. 66 and was the pastor at the Church of Jesus Christ, Imperial.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years, Arlene l. (Moore) Buffington.  He was the dearest father of Robert (Patty) Buffington of Imperial, Jeffrey (Kim) Buffington of Oakdale, Rebecca (Tim) Tarbuk of Imperial, and the late Mark Buffington. He was the brother of Daniel Buffington of Imperial, Margaret Roscart of Imperial, Darlee Mae Corrado of McKees Rocks, Shirley Persin of California, and the late Herbert Buffington.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-6 p.m. only in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton.  Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ, 57 Moore Road, Imperial, PA 15026 on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11 am.  Pastor David Nolfi will officiate.  Everyone is to meet at the church.

Robert will be laid to rest in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery, Imperial, PA.

Carl J. Rybacki

CARL J. RYBACKI, 85, of Clinton, left this world peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014, after a long struggle.

He is survived by two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Robert, both of Clinton.  Also surviving are nieces and nephews, beloved neighbors, friends and former co-workers.

Retired from Peoples Natural gas and a veteran, “Rabbits” loved his roses and blueberry pancakes.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at which time a humanitarian service will be held, in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton.

He will be entombed in the Allegheny Cemetery Mausoleum.

Helen (Skvarj) “Gram” Carr

HELEN CARR, 89, of Imperial, passed away Wednesday morning, January 1, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Heritage Valley, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 26, 1924 in Cherry Valley, a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Bauer) Skvarj.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” Carr; a son, Richard “Ricky” Anthony; a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Peck; a son-in-law, Bernard “Bernie” Peck; a sister, Mary Hissom; and a brother, Richard Skvarj.

She is survived by her children, John “Butch” (Charlee) Carr, Catherine “Cookie” Peck, Michael (LuAnn) Carr; a foster son, Joey Hassett; a brother, John Skvarj; and sisters, Rose Doerr and Donna (Jim) Rakoczy.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Blessing service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for all the loving care and comfort that was given to her.
