Russell had a dry wit and great sense of humor that easily engaged others. He was a loving father who drove many a mile for his girls’ sporting activities before they turned 16, and was always known as “Mr. Safety” for his words of cautionary advice. He had an avid love for music (Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Buffet), baking (nut roll), painting (nature scenes), and could talk politics better than any TV commentator.

Having lived in Hawaii and Florida in his later years, Russell had a passion for the tropics and will be laid to rest by his daughters Molly Flick and Emily Nagg (Greg) in southern waters warmed by the sun.
