Lenore Silverman

LENORE SILVERMAN, age 74, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully in her sleep August 8, 2016.

She was lovingly referred to as “Mine”, by her six adoring grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lindsay, and Jackson Danzik, and Max, Danny, and Johnny Clements. These children, along with their parents, Rob and Gretchen Danzik, were the lights of her life.

Leni was a longtime resident of Five Ponds in Warminster, PA where she lost her soul mate and husband, Seymour Silverman in 2012. She then relocated to Pittsburgh, PA to be with her children and grandchildren. Leni lit up every room that she entered and was quite possibly the most generous spirit that this world has known. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and lunching with her friends. She was an avid reader and  member of Beth El Synagogue.

Leni graduated from Michigan State and had a career as a paralegal in her early life. Passing several grades during her youth, she was one smart cookie! Her continuous wit was the source of laughter for all of those in her life. Her endless encouragement lifted countless people to be better than they were before they knew her. She was rarely at a loss for words or smiles. Her years of great joy were during her marriage to Sy, whom she had missed every day since his passing.

Leni was also preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Evelyn Schneider; and her infant son, Edward Danzik. She is also survived by her son, Howie Danzik.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. at MOODY FUNERAL HOME in Clinton, PA. Services will be held at this location on Friday at 2 p.m.
