BELIA S. MARTINEZ, 79 of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died Friday morning, March 9, 2018 in the comfort of her home with family members at her side.

Born June 1, 1938, in Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Genaro and Antonia (Diaz) Sixtos. A homemaker, Belia was a member of the Hebron Presbyterian Church and the Hopewell VFW Post 8805 Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Martinez; her companion of over 30 years, Richard Huckenberry; a son, Robert Martinez; a daughter, Patricia Ann McGowan, and a son-in-law, Jim Hyde.

Surviving are her children, Michael Martinez and Raymond A. Martinez, both of Clinton; Albert Peter Martinez, Illinois; Linda M. Hyde and her companion, Angelo Crivelli, Clinton. Sister of Jaime Sixtos, Mexico; Hilda Diaz, California, and Margarita Sanchez, Mexico, she is also survived by six beloved grandchildren, Celeste, Justin, Mandie, Chris, Jeff, and Maria; also great-grandmother of seven.

Cremation will take place with a memorial visitation to be held at the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. The Rev. Keith R. Black, Th.D, of Vitas Hospice, will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in Hopewell Hebron Cemetery.

MARY P. MORROW, 77, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2018, at Heritage Valley Sewickley.

Born May 31, 1940, in Coraopolis, she was a daughter of the late George Sr. and Frances Pauline (Fluharty) Haney. A homemaker, she was a member of the Clinton Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin E. Work, Sr.; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Donna Haney; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Oliver Smith, and a stepson, James Morrow.

Surviving are her second husband, James William Morrow; a son and his companion, Alvin E. Work, Jr. and Mary Jean Clarke, Coraopolis; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet Jean and Robert Cubbage, Texas; her stepchildren, Robert and Debi Morrow, Washington; Randy Morrow, Clinton; Kathy and the late Jack Murin, Clinton; Arlene and John Luich, Cabot, Pa.; Nancy and Ed Carr-Foster, Clinton, and Kandi Connors, Clinton; a stepdaughter-in-law, Karen Morrow, Burgettstown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Marie Haney, Arizona; James Haney, Tennessee; Paul and Linda Haney, Connecticut; and John and Genise Haney, Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Al Frankey, Moon Twp.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren, and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. only in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with her pastor, the Rev. Ted Chapman, of the Clinton Wesleyan Church officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.

DARLA L. CHIODO, 71, of Clinton, died Sunday evening, March 4, 2018, with her husband at her side.

She was born, May 27, 1946, in Sewickley, and was the daughter of the late John and Cecil (Kiefer) McLauglin. A floral designer, Darla along with her husband, Joe, were the former owners and operators of the Chiodo Floral Shop, Robinson Twp., and Chiodo Farms, Clinton, for over 32 years.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Joseph A. Chiodo, whom she wed September 17, 1966; a brother and his wife, Alan and Tina McLaughlin, along with their children, Peter, Roland, and Anna McLaughlin, all of Hopewell Twp., and an aunt, Phyllis Montgomery, Warren Ohio.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, where services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ted Chapman, of the Clinton Wesleyan Church, officiating.

Entombment will follow in St. Lazarus Mausoleum, Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis.

Memorials in her name, may be made, if desired, to the Cardio Thoracic Transplant Group, UPMC Presbyterian.

DOUGLAS ALLYN DUNHAM, MD/DO, 81, of Bulger (Robinson Twp.), died Wednesday evening, February 28, 2018, in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Born September 27, 1936, in Compton, California, he was the last surviving child born to the late James and Lenore (Abbott) Dunham. He was a retired family practice doctor with his office being in McDonald, serving the tri-state area. A retired Pennsylvania Surgeon General, he was a retired veteran brigadier general, serving in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Christine (Dailey) May Dunham; his children and their spouses, Richard and Tracie Dunham, Malaysia; Scott Dunham, Hickory, PA.; and Melissa Dunham, Bridgeville; and his stepchildren, Michelle May, Hookstown; and Michael and Ashley May, Oakdale. He was the beloved grandfather of six, Charlie Dunham, Lenny Dunham, Emily Dunham, Brenden May, Carson May, and Kameron May, and his beloved fur baby, Schotzie.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MOODY FUNERAL HOME, Route 30, Clinton, where a blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Paul Merkovsky officiating.

Memorials, if desired, may be made in his name to the Catholic Hospice Group.

HERMAN H. ‘HONK’ THOMAS, 75, of Aliquippa (Raccoon Twp.), died Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born May 15, 1942, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late George W. Sr. and Marjorie A. (Reddinger) Thomas. Herman was retired from Wet Allegheny School District, having worked in the maintenance department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor bestowed by Boy Scouts of America. He was also honored by the West Allegheny School District for his work with children. He was a member of Mount Pleasant EPC, Aliquippa.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, George W. Thomas, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Carol J. (Hughes) Thomas, whom he married July 22, 1967; his sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark W. and Lori Ann Thomas, Clinton, and Michael S. Thomas, Hookstown, and a sister and brother-in-law, Karen L. and Larry Auten, Imperial. He was the beloved grandfather of four.

Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Moody Funeral Home, Route 30, Clinton. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Mount Pleasant EPC, 846 Route 18, Aliquippa, PA 15001, where his services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. His pastor, the Rev. Richard Herbster, will officiate.

He will be laid to rest in the Clinton United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

GILBERT G. SEIBEL, 76, of Maryland, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, November 30, 2017, of prostrate cancer.

Born April 2, 1941, he was a son of the late Gilbert J. and Mae E. (Reinheimer) Seibel. He was employed for 35 years with the National Cash Register Company, and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where he was an Extraordinary Minister of Communion. He was a Packard automobile enthusiast and was a member of several Packard car clubs. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Kay Seibel; a son, Jeffrey W. and his wife Tracey Seibel; a daughter, Karen and her husband John Dyas; brothers, Joseph G. Seibel and John F. Seibel; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Branden M. Seibel.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his graveside committal on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Hopewell Hebron Cemetery. Father Paul Merkovsky, of St. Columbkille Roman Catholic Church, Imperial will officiate.
