Anthony Joseph Sinagoga

ANTHONY JOSEPH SINAGOGA, age 92, of Imperial, Findlay Township PA. passed away on April 17, 2025. Anthony was born in Casino, Italy, on June 13, 1932, to Joseph and Rose Sinagoga. The family moved to America in 1934 and purchased the farm at the end of Robinson Rd., Imperial, PA in 1950.
Mr. Sinagoga was a teacher, businessman (Sinagoga’s Pizza Parlor/real estate restoration/management) and farmer. Anthony taught “Problems of Democracy” at Montour High School for 30 years and served as the President of the Montour Education Association for two years. He loved the challenge of restoring older/damaged houses and turning them into productive assets. He took great joy in farming (gardening/tending his cows) often competing with his brother to see who could produce the first ripe tomato.
Anthony will always be remembered for emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, the value of hard work and the need to “stand strong/firm” during hard times or when difficult decisions must be made. These are the greatest gifts he has given his children.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Ann (Howley); children, Lee Ann Sinagoga (Edward Bitsura), Joseph Ross (Christine) Sinagoga, John Anthony (Mary Beth) Sinagoga, Barbara (Mark) Thomson, Benjamin Thomas (Debbie, deceased) Sinagoga, and Assunta (Ashok) Ajmani; grandchildren, Josi Lynn (Jeff) McCracken, Anthony John (Caitlin) Sinagoga, Katie Lynn (Matt) Wagner, Jessie Lee (Matt) Zanella, Kayla Ann Thomson, Mark Joseph Thomson, Timothy Joseph Ajmani, Anjali Marie Ajmani and Arvin Joseph Ajmani; and great-grandchildren, Zachary James Zanella, Brianna Rose Zanella, Brayden Anthony Sinagoga, Connor James Sinagoga, Damon Michael Sinagoga, Jacob John Wagner, Alexander Vincent Wagner and Callum Jeffrey McCracken.
