William Joseph DeForte, Sr.

William J. DeForte Sr., beloved son of the late Joseph and Betty DeForte, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday at his home in Clinton, Pennsylvania as he was preparing for the day. A proud and honorable United States Army veteran, William served his country with deep dedication and unwavering patriotism.

He is survived by his loving sister, Betty Jean Johnson (DeForte), his cherished son, William J. DeForte Jr., and his treasured grandchildren: Eric Pizer Jr., Alyshia Ciaramello (Pizer), and Valeria Sokolova. He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchildren, Oakley Pizer and Nico Ciaramello.

William was a man known for his warm smile, his sharp wit, and his delightfully inappropriate sense of humor – traits that endeared him to everyone lucky enough to know him. He touched many lives with his kindness, wisdom, and timeless stories.

Though the world feels a little dimmer without him, we find comfort in imaging heaven a bit livelier – with the laughter he brings and the music of Artie Shaw playing on.

Friends will be received in the Moody Funeral Home, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA 15026 on Saturday April 26th from 6-8 pm. His service will be private. Cremation will follow and entombment of his remains will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies Columbarium.
