JAMES W. McCaffrey, 76, of Imperial, (Independence Twp.) died Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the comfort of his home with family at his side.

Born August 16, 1942, in Washington, PA., he was the son of the late Edward and Esther (Watson) McCaffrey.

He had worked as a mechanic for US Air for over 32 years and was an avid motorcyclist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Hatton, and a sister, Jeanne Mora.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane (Cool) McCaffrey; whom he married July 28, 1961; father of Dr. Dawn McCaffrey and Ron Hayes, James R. and Kristen McCaffrey; brother of Kenneth and Tish McCaffrey; brother-in-law of Juan Mora; and grandfather of Khylinn and Griffin Hayes, and Maura McCaffrey; great-grandfather of Khylas Hayes.

There will not be any visitation or services.
