Joseph A. Chiodo

JOSEPH A. CHIODO, 77 of Moon Twp, formerly of Clinton, passed peacefully on Sunday June 4, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.

Born August 25,1945 in Sewickley, he was a son of the late Angelantonio and Cecelia (Vattimo) Chiodo. Joe, along with his late wife, Darla, were the owners/operators of the Chiodo Floral Shop in Robinson Twp. for many years and Chiodo Farms in Clinton for 32 years.

Elected Robinson Twp. Commissioner, Chairman of the Board of the municipal authority of Robinson Twp. He was an Independence Twp. Supervisor, a member of F&AM Lodge #652 Carnegie, Cyrus Royal Arch of Carnegie and Knights Templer and a member of the Syria Temple Shrine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Darla L. (McLaughlin) Chiodo, 2 brothers, John and Eugene Arena, and 2 sisters, Helen Pavelish and Betty Younker. He is survived by a brother, Richard and his late wife Ann Arena, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Alan and Tina McLaughlin and three generations of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Moody Funeral Home, 1227 Route 30, Clinton, PA 15026 on Thursday from 4 until 8 pm where his service will be held Friday at 11 am. The Rev. Ted Chapman of the Clinton Wesleyan Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis.
